The cradle of marijuana research is undoubtedly Israel. Since the mid 1960's, the effects of organic marijuana in Israel have been under investigation by a pioneer in the field, Dr Raphael Mechoulam. An Israeli organic chemist and professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel was the first to explore Organic Marijuana in Israel and isolate the first cannabinoid Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis. 

His research in the field led Dr Mechoulam and his team to discover Anandamide,  the first, naturally occurring endogenous cannabinoid, or endocannabinoid. Anandamide was named after the Sanskrit word for bliss and is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in cannabis. Working with Organic Cannabis in Israel, the researchers were able to elaborate the discovery to identify the endocannabinoid system in the human body and of course begin to understand its function in maintaining human health.

The United States continues to lead the way over the past 2 decades with states such as Nevada legalizing Marijuana in recent years. Growing demand for clean organic cannabis in Las Vegas  have seen significant opening of the marijuana market with both THC and CBD strains to full spectrum from sedative Indica varietals to energetic Sativa plants.

On the 1st of July 2017 the legalization of recreational marijuana commenced and  Gov. Brian Sandoval was forced to issue a statement of emergency when the marijuana ran out - true story. Now they even have a drive through to access your marijuana 24/7.

Washington came online with recreational cannabis in 2017 after the November 2012 bill to allow recreational marijuana in Washington passed 56 percent to 44 percent.

Voters have approved legal recreational marijuana use in Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California, Nevada, Maine, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.

In Colorado, the price fell from $8 a gram to just under $6 a gram.

These products are all variations of CBD based products and contains tiny level of the psychoactive compound THC that makes people high.
